Awning Servicing and Repairs

Is your Awning in need of some TLC? AMO Group can help.

We not only manufacture and install Awnings but we can repair and recover too.

Awning Fabric Replacement

Should your awnings fabric be in need of replacing then this isnt a problem for us. All awnings are brought back to our unit where we strip down the awning and give it a clean down before replacing the cover with new.

If you need replacement motors or sensors then again this is not a problem. We use Somfy motors and sensors and controls and stock majority of these at our unit in West Yorkshire.

Whatever you need then just give us a call with your details and we will be happy to assist.

Awning Services

We highly recommend you have your awning serviced every 12 months.

Once your awning has been installed we will send over our aftercare package which helps with the Do’s and Don’t’s and how to keep your awning working and looking the best it can be.

Every 12 months we will send over an email reminding you its due for service so you don’t have to worry about remembering.

Why should I have my awning serviced?
We ensure your awning is running to its optimum operation.
Maintaining your awning can help to extend the awnings lifespan

I have a wind vibration sensor, and my awning keeps retracting on its own when it’s not windy?
The most common reason for this is the batteries need changing in the sensor and would be something we recommend trying before we attend to investigate.

My motor has failed on my electric awning so I am unable to use this?
This would require a motor replacement, we can quote for this without needing to visit but would need some pictures of the awning and its controls, a location, and awning sizes if possible.

My manual awning is stuck out and I can’t wind it back in?
The most common reason for this is that the awning has been wound out too far or the wrong way and some force is required to wind this back in. When winding the awning out, once the arms and fabric is fully extended, you should stop opening this (if the fabric starts to loosen you will know you have gone too far). If you still can’t get the awning in, it could be a potential faulty gearbox and we would need to attend to investigate this.

When I open my awning, its on an angle/dropped at one side?
The most common reason for this would the pitch needs altering on the awning. If not, we would need to investigate this as it could be the arms that are faulty.

My electric awning is stuck out and won’t close?
We would suggest checking the power supply to the awning making sure sockets are on and the power hasn’t tripped. Following testing this, we would need to attend to investigate.

I can’t open my electric awning and there is no light on the remote control?
A= We would suggest checking the batteries in the remote control, following this is could potentially be a faulty remote control and a new one will be required and will need programming to the awning.

My awning is working fine but my fabric needs replacing, can this be done?
YES! We need to have a look at the awning and some approximate sizes to give you a quote. Sometimes Awnings need brining back to the workshop for the recover or sometimes we can do them on site. This can generally be determined by looking at the images of your existing awning
